Age is But a number

Thirtysomething Laura Wright couldn't possibly be old enough to have a college freshman for a daughter as Cassie does ... could she? After all, the age span between Wright and on-screen offspring Stephanie Gatschet (Tammy) is just a bit more than a decade. "Well, Cassie supposedly had Tammy at age 16. So, I, Laura, couldn't have Stephanie, but I could have Tammy," she says. Still, the actress points to her own husband's family as proof that an even odder scenario can exist. "My husband's aunt was a grandmother at age 32," she explains. "She had her daughter at 16, who then had her daughter at 15." Stranger still, Wright's hubby's aunt became a great-grandmother at age 50! "Her granddaughter had a son at 19. So its possible!"
