GL's Laura Wright Answers Your Questions!

Do you let your kids watch the show? Who is someone you admire? V.S., Forest Va.
Occasionally. When Dinah came back (and we shot the barn) fire scene, they wanted to see it because they kept seeing me come home covered in soot. My daughter loves watching Tammy and Lizzie.
This is going to sound funny, because she happens to be my boss, but I admire (executive producer) Ellen Wheeler. I've never met anyone quite like her. Her life, where she comes from and who she is - she's an amazing person.

How is working with Stephanie Gatschet ( Tammy)? Is it difficult to imagine being a mother to an 18-year-old? Leann Landstrom, Chicago
I love her. She's so talented, I feel lucky. The best thing they could have done is age Tammy; its give me so much more to play. I love that she looks so much like me. We call (ourselves) the Gilmore Girls. I could have a daughter 18 years old. I would have had to have her at 16 or 17, which is supposed to be the story. We joke about it. When she introduces me to her family members or friends who come to the set, she says, "This is Laura, she plays&." And I say, "Your sister."

Could Cassie ever end up with Jeffrey? Are you and Gina Tognoni (Dinah) close? S.F., Manhattan, Kan.
Cassie could end up with anyone, because it's a soap opera and I'm going to do whatever they tell me to do (laughs). But I don't think it could happen overnight. You have a great relationship between Cassie and Edmund, but if its written well, you can put anyone together. They proved that by putting Cassie and Edmund together after their history.
What's great about being close with Gina is that there's a major trust there. I know she's always going to be there for me and that she knows I'll always come to the table prepared for her. If I'm not getting something in a script, she's the first to say, "Is there anything I can do?" Gina's not out just for herself. Gina wants the scene to be great, as I do, so we do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Do you get a lot of comments from fans on your hair? How do you like the new 'do? Dana Casale
(Laughs) 24/7. I loved cutting my hair off. It was liberating. I don't know why it was up for so much discussion. Some people will come right out and tell you to your face, "I don't know why you cut your hair off." "Because it's my hair and I wanted to!" I'm letting it grow back because now I'm ready to move on to something else.

What is your favorite part of working with David Andrew Macdonald (Edmund)? Do you and Beth Ehlers still hang out? Erin Manor, Clinton Miss.
David makes me laugh all day long. It's a joy. It's about the scene, and whaever the other actor needs. He's a wonderful co-star. And, yes, I still see Beth Ehlers (Harley). I saw her over the weekend at a party for Kim Zimmer (Reva).

Which person in the cast would you love to work with more? Mallory Parker, Muskegon, Mich
I'd love to have more scenes with Harley and Blake (Elizabeth Keifer) because I think the three of us together are fun to watch. And Doug Hutchison (Sebastian) - one day I worked with him and it was fun.

Which Guiding Light character are you most like? Lacey Gane, Calif
I have to be able to relate to Cassie to play her, so I'm sure I bring a part of me to the character.

Is there a story that you would refuse to do? What would be your ideal storyline for Cassie? Cheryl, Baltimore
There's nothing I would refuse to do. I don't believe in an actor telling her boss she's not going to play something. I signed a contract, and I'm paid to do a job, so there's nothing I would refuse to do except nudity. Not that you can do it on daytime, nor would anyone want to see that!
I'd like to see Cassie's father. She has no idea who her father is and that could be interesting. I hope they explain why Jeffrey looks like Richard and what he's doing in town. It was difficult when Bradley (Cole, Jeffrey) first came back, because this guy was walking around town looking identical to Richard. It had to affect Cassie, but at the time, I wasn't allowed to play it. That particular producer and writer didn't want to address it.
