There are many romantic things that Laura Wright says her husband, John, does for her on a daily basis. But the actress can't show those off to her castmates the way she can her birthday present of two years ago. "John surprised me by redecorating my dressing room," recalls Wright with a smile. "I had to spend the night in the city because I worked late and had to be in at 7 the next morning. So, when I got to the hotel, I called my husband and he tells me he's going to our house in Pennsylvania! I'm thinking, 'It's so late! Tomorrow's my birthday, and he's going to be so tired!'" The late-night road trip, of course, was all a ruse, because when Wright walked into her dressing room the next morning, she did a double take. "It's that moment where you look at the door to see if you walked in the right room!" she laughs. "John put up curtains and pictures, a whole new couch with pillows, and flowers and a funky lamp & I walked in the room, and I was blown away. He got there at 8:30 and didn't leave the building until 1:30 in the morning!" The actress was even more surprised at how quickly word spread. "All day long, people were checking out the room."
