Laura Wright debuts on General Hospital as Carly No.4 on Friday November 4. And while the former Guiding Light star knows she has big shoes to fill, she's up to the challenge!

The In Depth Story: Just four days before she was to begin taping at GH. Wright -- who has inked a four year deal with the soap shared with Soaps In Depth her excitement at tackling one of the hottest roles in daytime.

"No pressure there!" the actress said with a laugh. "I don't doubt my ability to play this role. I cannot wait to get there and start kicking butt! That's how I feel. I am so excited to take on this role, to work with the other actors, the directors and the writing team. I'm not nervous at all. I want to jump in head-first and do my best."

Having played Cassie on GL for the past eight years, Wright is eager to stretch her wings as and actress. "I needed to play another role and be challenged in other areas," she confided. "I learned from [my GL] experience, and that's only supporting me for what I have to do now. Whether I do this [part on GH] forever or not...I could go on and just stay a month."

Regardless of how long she winds up walking in Carly's shoes, the actress hopes to bring her own nuances to the role. " I want to do good work and meet a lot of great people," she told us. "I just hope to have four more years of great learning experiences."

Expect Carly's return to be most dramatic!
