Refers to Fill 'er Up!! March 3, 1992
Thats quite a hairstyle.
"It's all about the hair with Laura Wright (laughs)!"
When you were on LOVING as Ally in 1991, you commented that soap fame was odd, noting, "I see my picture in a magazine and I say, 'Wow, thats me!' ...Its just so weird"
"Yes! But when we were on LOVING, if we were lucky, we'd get a little itty-bitty inset on the cover. We were always under the mailing label. 'See that blond bush coming out from under the mailing label? That's me!' I'm actually grateful that I started on a show that wasn't hugely popular. It kept me grounded and made me realize that fame is here one day, it's gone the next."
You and your husband, John, have been married for more than a decade, but at that time, you were single and said, "I'm not interesting in dating anyone right now."
"Yeah, right (laughs). John and i have known each other since I was 16, but it took me 10 years to get that guy to marry me."
You also said, "Children are a must."
"And we have two beautiful children."
"I'd like to raise them somewhere where it's peaceful and its pretty and its safe."
"So much for that (laughs). I almost didn't take the job on GH because I was like, 'There's no way I'm moving my family out here.' I hated Los Angeles. But I must say, I love driving in LA and looking over and seeing the mountains. We're fine, but it was an adjustment.
Having worked at your father's gas station as a teen, you also mentioned, "I have to follow in my dad's footsteps. I have to have my own gas station."
"I already did own my gas station and I sold it! Now, I own a restaurant with him outside Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in Calabash, North Carolina -- Sunrise Pancake House. Everyone should go!"
