“Oh, my God, yes.”
Do you see Carly as bad?
“I’m trying to be as true as I can to the original Carly. Her relationships with Jason and Sonny are so important because that sets up her relationships with everyone else. She hates Robin because of Jason and Michael. Almost everyone she deals with is a barometer reading of how they affect Jason and Sonny.”
How was the transition of Guiding Light good girl Cassie to GH bad girl Carly?
“Cassie had boundaries as to how she would behave and whom she would behave that way around. Carly has no boundaries and if you give her one, she’ll purposely cross it: ‘How dare you give me a boundary? Do you know who I am?’ I absolutely love the gall this character has. I love that she wears a different hat with every single character. I’m a tough actress. I came from a role where I cried a lot … I have to say that I made the choice to be tougher with Carly that weepy like Cassie.”
Carly seems lacking in female friends.
“You think (laughs)? Her only girlfriend (Courtney) died. Carly doesn’t really like Sam, although she likes Sam more now than she ever did. She doesn’t like Emily, but she’s Jason’s sister. She can’t stand Alexis. But she hates Robin, really hates her.”
Think she’ll ever forgive Robin for blabbing about Michael’s paternity to AJ?
“Part of Carly thinks she’d be happily married to Jason with the white picket fence if this friggin’ doctor hadn’t come and ruined it all for no other reason than because she was jealous. Carly feels she ruined her kids’ life. Michael was kidnapped because of her. Anything that’s gone bad is because of her. Carly’s not at all politically correct and I love that about her.”
