Couple Time
CBS.com caught Guiding Light's royal couple, LAURA WRIGHT (Cassie) and BRADLEY COLE (Richard), chatting before the 2000 GL Fan Gathering and had to interrupt them just long enough to get the scoop on Cole's re-released CDs - and Wright's pregnancy!
CBS.com: So how is married life for Richard and Cassie?
LAURA WRIGHT: Not too good right now. But when you're happy, you're boring on daytime. Now we actually have a little bit of controversy. We're working again!
CBS.com: [To Cole] This is your second fan event. Are you excited?
BRADLEY COLE: I am. I was a little overwhelmed last year.
CBS.com: I think you received the loudest screams from the fans last year!
BRADLEY COLE: Did I? It's just a blur to me. Someone described it [as being] like a white tag sale and the actors are tossed about like fabric at the tables. [Laughs] But it was a lot of fun and the fans were wonderful and so supportive. We really appreciate that.
CBS.com: What is the craziest thing a fan has ever sent you?
LAURA WRIGHT: [To Bradley] Remember the lock? That was probably the best.
BRADLEY COLE: Yeah, the lock was nice. Someone sent me a lock that said, "Please have palace security install these locks immediately!"
LAURA WRIGHT: [To CBS.com] Remember how everyone just kept walking into the palace? This is royalty. How come they just stroll in and we don't even know?
CBS.com: [To Wright] Well, congratulations on your pregnancy! When are you due?
LAURA WRIGHT: Seven weeks. I went to the doctor the other day and he's taking the baby early!
CBS.com: Are you having a boy or girl?
LAURA WRIGHT: It's a boy!
CBS.com: So will Richard and Cassie be adding to their family?
LAURA WRIGHT: We don't know. That remains to be seen.
CBS.com: So, Bradley, I understand your CD is now available for purchase.
BRADLEY COLE: Yes, I have re-released my two CDs. I'm really excited about that. They sound great. I had them re-mastered, so they sound fantastic. They're both out there now.
CBS.com: Where can fans buy them at?
BRADLEY COLE: Right now they can get them on amazon.com. And then eventually we're working with a distribution company, so they'll be able to go into stores.
LAURA WRIGHT: You can hear him [on the Internet], too. I just listened to him last week.
BRADLEY COLE: Really?
LAURA WRIGHT: And you can go and see the picture of him with long hair.
CBS.com: His funky rock star look?
LAURA WRIGHT: Totally.
BRADLEY COLE: I'm a rock n' roller. That's right. Go on to nomadicmusic.com, or if you go to bradleycole.com, you can actually hear one whole song.
LAURA WRIGHT: Can you?
BRADLEY COLE: Every month on the Bradley Cole site they put up a new song from the album, with notes from me about the recording of it. You can listen to the whole song with all the lyrics to the song.
LAURA WRIGHT: You get a look into Bradley Cole's soul.
BRADLEY COLE: That's right. Scary.
LAURA WRIGHT: That's kind of personal. That's very open of you. Notes about how you wrote the songs?
BRADLEY COLE: Yeah. Well, it's nothing that revealing. It's just how we recorded the song.
CBS.com: Your fans will eat it up.
LAURA WRIGHT: Oh, they'll love it.
