It was the first Valentine's Day my husband, John, and I spent together. It was a couple of weeks before Valentine's Day and John was just miserable because he was working so hard. He was in grad school at the time and was doing his thesis. He called me into his office and he was like, "Can I please give you your Valentine's Day present now?" I'm like, "It's two weeks away." He said, "But I am so unhappy, and just to see the smile on your face when you open it up will make me feel so good." He got me this beautiful, Tiffany cross wrapped in gold. That was probably the best Valentine's Day gift I've ever gotten - and he only wanted to give it to me because the smile on my face was going to make him feel better in a time where he was very frustrated and unhappy!
