Cassie Loses Edmund
Realizing that she had wrongfully accused Edmund of being involved with Salerno and his drug-running scam, Cassie begged her prince to stay. Edmund, on the other hand, was certain that Cassie would always find a reason to doubt him. Knowing they both still loved each other, Cassie told Edmund to follow his heart and come home. Edmund didn't seem very convinced. "You will be waiting a lifetime for me to disappoint you, and I want to spare myself the worrying about everything I do and say, afraid that you are going to leave me at any moment." Not ready to give up on their love, Cassie replied, "Edmund, I love who you are, and I will spend the rest of my life showing you how much you mean to me. You're a man. You're just a man." Edmund responded, "I am just a man, and I know I can live with that. And I don't think you can."
