Although the attraction between GL's Laura Wright (Cassie) and her husband, John Wright, began back when they were in high school in Maryland, the actress still can remember the exact moment that she realized she was drawn to her future spouse's heart as well as his smile.
"It was winter, and he saw a bum sitting on the street with no socks, no shoes, nothing - John took off his socks and gave them to the man," she relates. "And he wasn't even going to tell me, but I saw that he didn't have socks on."
Wright says that her better half's kindness to a complete stranger that most would pass by without a second glance is what blew her away. "And he does those kinds of things all the time," she adds. "I knew I loved everything about him, because he's so passionate. But I didn't know his soul. And in that moment, I truly saw his kindness. Those things are important to me."
