Will Cassie Marry Edmund?

GUIDING LIGHT's Cassie is newly sporting a rock of an engagement ring from Edmund. That doesn't necessarily mean however that this particular couple is going to make it all the way to the altar. Explains Laura Wright (Cassie): "I think Edmund asked her to marry him because he truly loves Cassie and wants to be married to her. And really, everything that Edmund is and has done is only because he can't lose her. But it makes Edmund enraged to see Jeffrey around Cassie all the time."
But will the fact that Edmund has been lying to Cassie about his involvement with Dinah throw a gigantic monkey wrench into their bridal registry plans? Perhaps, acknowledges Wright, as will the fact that Cassie seems to be so drawn to O'Neill. It's interesting that Cassie is leaning on Jeffrey [through the imposter ordeal] instead of Edmund," she notes. "I think she finds comfort in his face [looking so much like Richard's], and his wanting to protect her. It does stir up feelings that hopefully we'll address."
