Question and Answer with Laura Wright

Recently Laura did a question and answer session with the LauraAddicts. Below are the questions and her answers. Thank you Laura!!

1. (Debbie) What do you like to do in your leisure time?

Debbie---- The only thing I do when I'm not working is play with my children-My husband and I take our children to the country for the week ends and we swim- cookout and spend alot of time with each other- and if were lucky we get the inlaws to watch the kids on a Saturday night and John and I go to the movies and Walmart.

2. (Janet) If you could play any other character on GL, who would it be and why?

Hello Janet- I have to say that I really love playing Cassie-Sometimes I may not like what I have to do- but I don't write the show- but I love where she came from- and I love the "Love story" of Cassie and Richard.

3. (Shayla) What has been your favorite Richard and Cassie scene?

Shayla---That is a tough question- I've had so many wonderful scenes with Bradley. I love all the beginning stuff befor the admitted that they fell inlove- Galveston was alittle strange but whatever- I thought our Wedding was beautiful and the love scene was so romantic- whats your favorite???????

4. (Jennifer) What is it that you do that enables you to show so much emotion in your scenes (i.e. your awesome ability to cry on cue)? It's amazing.

Jennifer- I get this question all the time- And I don't know what happens- I just listen and when I work with certain people and there is a history there- things happen. Looking at Bradley and doing certain scenes its easy.

5. (Caroline) How did you feel when Bradley sucked your foot - ticklish?????

Caroline- I really felt alittle stupid when Bradley sucked my foot- I got a pedicure that morning and I was hoping that my feet weren't dirty.

6. (Diane) When we were at the tour with Laura. She and John were looking to buy something. Since the information was personal, we never mentioned it to anyone else. Was just wondering if they were successful?

Diane- Yes Yes Yes we bought a house and we move in a few weeks- thanks for asking.

7. (Amber) What's one thing you wish they'd change about Cassie (or something that HAS changed about her that you wish hadn't)?

Amber- Great question- I wish that they'd let me wear jeans alot more- and my curly hair- but you know I really can't complain- no I don't love everything- but I'm so lucky to have a job- and to work with such great actors and to meet such fun people- so I just wish I always have a fun or challenging storyline.

8. (Daffa/Sass) How do you deal with a bad script especially when it destroys character integrety? Do you get frustated?

Daffa/Sass- This topic comes up alot- Yes, of course I get frustrated- and I do what I can- but I don't write the show and despite what some people think we don't have the power to change or demand story- we can suggest and we can ask but they never listen to us and maybe they shouldn't- we're the actors- we maybe to close to the situation. Destroying the integrety is very hard to deal with but it is a soap- things are constantly moving and changing. Thats the way it is. There is no beginning or ending its all middle- And soaps are changing- except for one and thats why its the #1 show.

10. Do you enjoy working with Bradley as much as we enjoy watching you both as a couple, you have incredible chemistry together. Is Bradley anything like Richard?

I love working with Bradley- he is very charming-- and very talented- I don't know why we have the chemistry that we do- it just works so well- When I walk into a room (as Cassie) I take one look at Richard and my heart lifts- Richard is a true Prince. Bradley is a Prince in his own way- I can't go into too much detail- whatever he wants to share about himself he can- but Bradley is a special man- and a pleasure to work with. He makes it fun to go to work in the morning- And I like to have a good time at work especially if I have to leave my kids and husband all day.

11.(Eileen) I would like for her to tell us all about her kids....Lauren and John...

Eileen- About Lauren and little John- They are great- Lauren is in school in the morning and takes dance and gymnastics and Little John takes toddler gym- music and swim class- he'll start school next year.

12.(Jenny) I want to know what was the hardest and most fun scene you have filmed on GL?

Hi Jenny- Lets see the hardest scenes had to be all the Richard dieing they were so draining and I wanted him to stay - and the funniest- thats tough because I have so many favorite scenes with so many different people.

13.(Delores) Laura, I so enjoyed the tours of your homes on the specials hosted on HGTV. Thank you for sharing with us. Do you often find yourself forgetting things in NY that you need in PA?

Delores- I forget stuff all the time - I swear my wardrobe would be smaller- but I always forget something and oops I have to go shopping it drives John crazy.

14. (Delores) Are you pleased with the current storyline you have on GL? Would you rather see Cassie be more independent than she has been written? We single moms are feeling like the writers are unaware that women can be much stronger!

Delores- Am I happy with my current storyline? Yes and no- I feel lucky to have a storyline so how can I complain- but I do wish things were different sometimes.

15. (Carlita) Laura, I think you are a phenomenal actress, the best on the show, and you nail every scene. Since most of your scenes have been so sad (mostly doom and gloom), and you are so good at those, but what scene has been the most fun to do since Cassie came to GUIDING LIGHT?

Carlita- I have to say Alot of my scenes with Bradley were so fun- He is such a wonderful actor- He always did something to surprise me in a scene- I also love working with Beth and Liz.

16. (Amber) I'm sure you've missed Katie Segona since the role of Tammy has been recast. How are you getting along with your new co-star Stephanie Gatschet, and how long did it take you to have chemistry with her? Your scenes are already so natural and believeable as mother and daughter.

Amber- I do miss Katie- I think the role needed to be recasted if they were ageing the other kids- and I love stephanie she is a great actress- a very together young lady.

I hope you don't find me too boring--Thank you for being so interested and enjoying what we do--Laura
